Vilfand predicted an abnormally warm January in the Urals and Western Siberia


In the Urals and Western Siberia in January the temperature norm is expected to be exceeded, negative anomalies are predicted only in the Asian part of the country. This was reported on Friday, December 27, by the scientific head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand.
"If you look at the forecast of average temperature anomalies for January, you can see that a huge territory of the country is occupied by positive anomalies, that is, a class above the norm is predicted in the east of European Russia, in the Urals, in Western Siberia and Krasnoyarsk region," Vilfand said at a briefing.
At the same time, as specified by "Gazeta.ru", in the European territory of Russia, the temperature is expected to be near or above normal.
