More than 1 thousand apartment buildings have been delivered in Mariupol after capital repairs, and the next year will be determinant in this direction. This was reported by the head of the municipality Oleg Morgun on December 27.

"Priority issues of resumption of critical infrastructure we have already managed to close. Ahead is the final stage of restoration of the apartment housing stock. In this regard, the coming year will be a turning point and defining. According to the city's Capital Construction Department, more than 1 thousand apartment buildings have already come out of overhaul," TASS quoted him as saying.

According to Morgun, along with this, new construction is also underway and two weeks ago the city received 10 objects of new compensatory housing for about 700 apartments.

Earlier, on December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the "Results of the Year" that about 1.7 thousand houses in Mariupol have been restored, but not all of them have been handed over yet, and documents are being drawn up for 500. He noted that at least 300,000 people had returned to the city.
