In Moscow, fraudsters robbed a student of 7.5 million rubles
In Moscow, a student gave cash and jewelry from the safe to fraudsters for a total of 7.5 million rubles. This was reported by a source of Izvestiya on December 27.
According to him, the 18-year-old girl first received a call from an intruder, who introduced himself as an employee of the dean's office, and asked to register on the site ostensibly to pass the session. After that, the student was contacted several times by the perpetrators disguised as an investigator, employees of Gosuservices and the security service of Rosfinmonitoring. They convinced the girl that all her family's accounts had been blocked and that the house would be searched. During communication, the criminals forced the victim to install an unknown application and tell about the property in the apartment. Under the influence of intruders, the student opened the safe and collected all the contents.
As a result, the girl handed over to the courier at least $240 thousand, €27.5 thousand, two men's watches with a total value of Br1.5 million, two dozen women's jewelry and collectible coins. Later, the victim found out that another Br63 thousand had been withdrawn from her bank account.
On the same day, actor Vadim Safronov gave more than Br2 million to the fraudsters. According to the source of "Izvestia", the victim was contacted by a man disguised as the mayor and convinced the pensioner that a large sum of money had been stolen from the city, which should go to the account of the artist according to a certain list. Citing help in catching the fictitious criminals, the real attackers forced the pensioner to withdraw the funds from his account and give them to a courier through a nurse.
