Fraudsters swindled actor Vadim Safronov out of more than 2 million rubles

Actor Vadim Safronov gave more than 2 million rubles to fraudsters. This was reported on December 27 by a source of "Izvestia".
According to him, the 92-year-old man was first contacted by a malicious woman who asked him to take part in the cultural life of the country and said that he would allegedly receive a call from the mayor of the city.
Later, the victim was contacted by a man disguised as the mayor and convinced the pensioner that a large sum of money had been stolen from the city, which should go to the artist's account according to a certain list.
Referring to the help in catching the fictitious criminals, the real attackers forced the pensioner to withdraw the funds from the account and through a nurse to give them to the courier.
In total, the artist gave strangers more than 2 million rubles in different currencies.
Earlier, on November 14, fraudsters swindled the People's Artist of the USSR, ballet master Oleg Vinogradov out of 15 million rubles. Attackers called him via messenger, introduced themselves as bank employees and eventually convinced him to transfer funds to a "safe account," and then hand over the cash via courier. A criminal case has been opened over the incident.
