Russia will convene an informal meeting of the UN Security Council members in January, where it will emphasize the crimes of Ukrainian militants against civilians. This was announced by Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky on December 27.

"We plan to touch again on the subject of the crimes of the Ukronazis at the informal meeting of the UN Security Council on the "Arria formula" in January, we will make a special emphasis on the report on Selidovo and eyewitness testimonies," he wrote in Telegram-channel.

The diplomat specified that the process of identifying those responsible for the crimes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine against civilians was continuing.

He drew attention to the work of Maxim Grigoriev, a member of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, and the International Public Tribunal on the crimes of Ukrainian neo-Nazis headed by him, and also called his report on the actions of the AFU in Selidovo an important step.

Earlier, on December 17, the Russian Foreign Ministry's ambassador-at-large for crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, told Izvestia that Russia was collecting new data on Kiev's war crimes against civilians in Selidovo in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR). According to him, this information will be passed to the Investigative Committee.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
