Defense Ministry shows footage of Russian flag hoisting in the center of Lozovaya, Kharkiv region

The Russian Armed Forces deployed the Russian flag in the liberated village of Lozovaya in Kharkiv Region. The footage was published by the Defense Ministry on December 27.

In the video clip the flag is set by two soldiers on the approaches to the monument.

The flag was hoisted by servicemen of the unit of the 27th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the group of troops "West", who took part in the liberation of the village.

The Russian army took control of the populated area of Lozovaya in Kharkiv Region and Krasnoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) on December 22.

On December 25, Novy Trud was liberated, the next day - the settlement of Gigant. Both are on the territory of the DNR. On December 27, the Russian army took control of Ivanovka in the Donetsk People's Republic and Zagryzovo in Kharkiv Oblast.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was made against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
