A resident of Vladimir was detained for financing extremist activities


A resident of Vladimir was detained by officers of the Federal Security Service (FSB. According to the investigation, he transferred the money to the accounts opened in the USA by FBK (included by the Ministry of Justice in the register of organizations performing the functions of a foreign agent, recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia). About it on Friday, December 27, reported the press service of the FSSB in the region.
"Identified and documented the illegal activities of a resident of the city of Vladimir born in 1979, who is a supporter of the ideology of the non-profit organization FBK and involved in the financing of extremist activities," - quotes the agency's message TASS.
According to the investigation, the man transferred money to the account of the organization for the preparation of crimes of extremist nature. He was detained by the FSB officers.
A criminal case under part 1 of article 282.3 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Providing funds knowingly intended to support the activities of an extremist organization") has been opened against the resident of Vladimir.
Earlier, on December 19, it was reported that a resident of Khakassia was detained on suspicion of treason for financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). It was specified that the man confessed to committing the crime. He was given a preventive measure in the form of two months in custody.
