Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense means intercepted and destroyed 13 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions. It was specified that five UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Bryansk region, three over the territory of the Kursk region, two each over the territories of the Belgorod and Tula regions and one over the territory of the Astrakhan region.

Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
