Santa Clauses were detained in St. Petersburg for riding on boats during the ban


Men dressed in Santa Claus costumes were detained in St. Petersburg for riding on boats in the water area of the Malaya Nevka during the ban. This was reported on Friday, December 27, by the representative of the Russian Interior Ministry Irina Volk.
"My colleagues from the UT of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the North-West Federal District promptly established the identity of the men who operated small vessels during the closure of waterways. They were traveling along the water area of the Malaya Nevka on jet skis in Santa Claus costumes," she wrote in her Telegram channel.
The offenders were detained and taken to the police, and their boats were seized. Materials of the case were transferred to the Committee on Transport and the Ministry of Emergency Situations for a decision on bringing to administrative responsibility.
Earlier, on December 18, it was reported that in Bugulma for abuse of a minor detained a local resident, who rode around the city on a bicycle in a Santa Claus costume and invited children to his home. A criminal case is being investigated against the 54-year-old man on the grounds of crimes under Articles 132 and 242.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
