Reports about the alleged development of a common version of the plane crash in Aktau between Russia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are disinformation. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry on December 27.
"In the network at the suggestion of foreign agents in the NATO countries spread fake that some high-ranking employees of the Central Office of the Russian Foreign Ministry allegedly held talks with representatives of the Foreign Ministries of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan on the development of versions of the December 25, 2024 plane crash in Aktau," - stated in the Telegram-channel.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the foreign ministries of these countries have not held talks on this issue. The investigation of the plane crash in Aktau is carried out by the relevant authorities.
In addition, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that there was a political order behind the spread of such disinformation. The diplomatic mission called such attempts to use the tragedy of people for PR unworthy and unacceptable.
A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. A criminal case was opened after the crash.
AZAL published a list according to which 62 passengers and five crew members were on board, 38 people died. In addition, the plane crash killed seven Russians, while nine survived, reports "Gazeta.Ru". They were hospitalized, later a special airplane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered the Russians to Moscow.
The head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, said on December 26 that the Russians injured in the crash remained in a stable condition during the flight to Moscow, four of them were on artificial ventilation. Two of the injured are in extremely serious condition, one of the patients is "light", and the rest of the injured are in moderate condition.
