A criminal case was opened after an elevator fell on an MCC platform in Moscow

A criminal case was initiated after the fall of an elevator on the platform of the Moscow MTSD-4 in Moscow. This was reported on December 27 by the Western Interregional Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"<...> A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under part 1 of article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements)," - stated in the Telegram-channel of the department.

At the moment, investigators are examining the scene of the incident, the details of the incident are being established.

Theincident, as a result of which two people were injured, occurred on the same day. It is specified that the passengers entered the elevator from the street and were going up to the floor when it fell into the shaft. A total of four people were in the elevator.
