Avalanche danger in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia was announced until December 31

In the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia announced a warning about avalanche danger in the period from December 28 to 30 this year. This was reported on December 27 in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic.

"According to the FGBU "North Caucasus VS", from 28 to 30 December in the mountains of the KCR above 2,000 meters avalanche danger," - noted in the message.

It is also indicated that there is a probability of emergencies and incidents associated with damage to buildings, communication and power lines, infrastructure, obstruction of transportation and blocking of roads and bridges.

Residents were recommended not to go out into the mountains. In addition, avoid places of possible avalanches.

Earlier, on December 26, Russian Minister for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Alexander Kurenkov said that natural phenomena will become more frequent, which will lead to an increase in the number of emergencies.
