In Moscow, two people were injured when an elevator fell on the platform of MCD-4. This was reported by the source of "Izvestia" on December 27.
According to the source, passengers entered the elevator from the street and were going up to the floor when it fell down the shaft.
A total of four people were in the elevator. Two were injured, but it is noted that the number may increase. One of the victims suffered a head contusion, spinal fracture and GI trauma.
Earlier, on December 24, in the town of Bugry, Vsevolozhsk district, Leningrad region, a worker fell into the elevator shaft from the sixth floor. At the moment when the 60-year-old man was performing the shaft suspension, there was a shift of the elevator deck. The man suffered multiple injuries, but survived and was hospitalized.
