Summary of special operations in Ukraine for the week

A special military operation to protect civilians in Donbas has been carried out by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Defense Ministry said that during the week, the Russian Armed Forces (AF) carried out massive and 37 group strikes with high-precision weapons and attack drones, as a result of which energy facilities that supported the work of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, the infrastructure of military airfields, ammunition depots, fuel bases, production workshops, storage sites, preparation for the launch of attack drones and training centers for drone operators were hit.

Also during the week, Russian troops liberated the settlements of Lozovaya and Zagryzovo in Kharkiv Region. In the DNR, Ivanovka, Gigant, Ostrovoskoye, Krasnoye, Novy Trud and Storozhevoye were liberated.

In addition, according to the ministry, 51 Ukrainian servicemen were captured at the line of contact between December 21 and 27.

In total, 650 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 38,648 drones, 590 anti-aircraft missile systems, 20,057 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,504 multiple rocket launchers, 20,043 field artillery and mortars, 29,584 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation.
