Representatives of Embraer plant from Brazil arrived in Aktau


Representatives of the manufacturer Embraer have arrived in the Kazakh city of Aktau, who will participate in the investigation of the crash of the airplane of this brand, which belonged to Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and was flying on the route Baku - Grozny. This was reported by the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan on December 27.
"From Brazil to the city of Aktau arrived appointed representatives from the factory - manufacturer of the aircraft Embraer, in accordance with Annex 13 to the Chicago Convention," the Ministry said in its Telegram channel.
The investigation commission has planned further work at the site of the plane's crash.
In addition, employees of Brazil's Center for the Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents (CENIPA) are expected to arrive in Aktau in the coming days.
A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, heading on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash, the plane caught fire. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was opened. AZAL suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed. Later the company decided to suspend flights to Sochi, Volgograd, Ufa, Samara and Mineralnye Vody from December 28.
The airline later published a list, according to which 62 passengers and five crew members were on board. Seven Russians died in the plane crash, nine survived and were hospitalized. Later, a special Russian Emergencies Ministry airplane took them to Moscow. Of the crew, three people survived, reports "Gazeta.Ru".
Izvestia correspondent Ivan Litomin visited the crash site on December 27 and said that the wreckage of the plane was scattered at a distance of about 200 meters. The tail of the airplane was overturned and a door was opened in it, through which the survivors jumped out. They received first aid from staff at a substation about a kilometer from the scene. In addition to Embraer representatives, specialists from Russia and Azerbaijan will soon join the investigation.
