In Transbaikalia, four falcons were rescued from being used for illegal hunting. A joint rescue operation was carried out by the border guards of the FSSB in Transbaikalia and Altai Krai.

The rare birds, included in the Red Book, were found in the cars of two residents of Chita. They were transporting three balaban falcons and a gyrfalcon immobilized.

Ornithologists assessed the condition of the birds as satisfactory. The falcons were additionally examined by veterinarians. Now they are in the zoo in Chita, writes IA ChitaMedia.
