The Kremlin praised the work of Emergencies Ministry head Kurenkov


Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing on Friday, December 27, that Russian President Vladimir Putin trusts the work of Emergencies Ministry head Alexander Kurenkov.
"We have one of the best rescue services in the world. This is a huge ministry that constantly faces and interacts with all other agencies during emergencies, during various natural and man-made disasters, is involved in providing humanitarian aid, rescuing people," the Russian leader's spokesman said.
He noted that the people the head of state has chosen for the job are people he trusts and they are capable of performing their duties well, which they have already proved many times.
Earlier, on December 27, Kurenkov said that in 2024, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations rescued almost 58 thousand people, and evacuated another 374 thousand. This is more than last year. The Minister explained that this happened because of large-scale spring floods and evacuation of residents from Kursk and Belgorod regions. He also emphasized that the department's employees demonstrate an example of selfless work, dedication and constant striving to protect Russians and ensure their safety.
