In St. Petersburg, "Gorny Institute" station, located in the southern part of Vasilyevsky Island, was opened on the fourth line of the subway. The corresponding footage was shared by "Izvestia" on December 27.

The event to open the station was attended by the Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov.

As follows from the information on the mode of operation, the station lobby will be open from 05:43 to 00:00 Moscow time. The first trains in the direction of the station "Ulitsa Dybenko" will depart at 5:53 Moscow time, the last - 00:10 Moscow time.

Earlier, on December 5, the head of the budget and finance committee of the Legislative Assembly Denis Chetyrbok said that the construction of the subway in the budget of St. Petersburg for 2025 is allocated in a separate item. According to him, about 32 billion rubles have been allocated, although earlier they could hardly utilize 10 billion rubles due to the lack of capacity. In total, the budget of the city on the Neva for the next three years includes 170 billion rubles for the construction of the subway.
