Europe as a whole is losing weight in the world. This was stated by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on December 27.

He noted that Europe's share in the world economy is shrinking every year, while Asia and Africa are gaining strength.

Vucic also pointed out that Europe should find a more rational way to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.

"We hear every day that Ukraine is bound to win. But is that what Europe is also doing? No," he told the Handelsblatt publication.

In addition, the Serbian leader in the interview touched upon the topic of the launch of Nord Stream, added "Gazeta.Ru". In his opinion, the pipeline can work in a year, and gas will go from Russia to Europe through it.

Earlier, on November 6, Vucic expressed hope that U.S. President-elect Donald Trump will achieve peace in Ukraine. He emphasized that the Republican will propose and seek a solution to end the conflict. According to him, finding this solution will not be easy.

Before that, on October 28, it became known that Trump, in case of his victory in the elections in November, may try to conclude "new Minsk agreements" to end the conflict in Ukraine. However, this time, the document will have to include a clause on the "enforcement mechanism", which implies consequences for violating the concluded agreements.

On May 17, it was reported that Vucic quoted Marshal Zhukov's speech about the ingratitude of Western countries. He also pledged to the people of Republika Srpska not to drop the honor of the homeland.
