Four victims of plane crash remain in intensive care in Aktau

Four people injured in the crash of Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane flying from Baku to Grozny remain in intensive care in Kazakhstan's Aktau. This was reported by Mangistau Regional Hospital on December 27.

They indicated that a total of six victims of the crash are in the institution.

"Four of them are in intensive care. The condition of one is extremely serious, three - stably serious. Two patients continue treatment in the department of traumatology," said the hospital, whose message is quoted by the Kazakh edition of TengriNews.

Three of the wounded are citizens of Azerbaijan, and the rest are from Kyrgyzstan. They are receiving all necessary treatment in full.

A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, heading on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash the plane caught fire. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was opened. AZAL suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed.

AZAL published a list, according to which 62 passengers and five crew members were on board, 38 people died. In addition, the plane crash killed seven Russians, and nine survived, reports "Gazeta.Ru". They were hospitalized, later a special airplane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered the Russians to Moscow.

The head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Murashko, said on December 26 that the Russians injured in the crash remained in a stable condition during the flight to Moscow, four of them were on artificial ventilation. Two of the injured are in extremely serious condition, one of the patients is light, and the rest of the injured are in moderate condition.
