FSB detains local resident on Sakhalin for cooperating with the SBU


Employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) directorate in Sakhalin Region have detained a local resident who cooperated with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). This was reported by the press service of the agency on December 27.
It is specified that the man traveled to the Belgorod region, collected and transmitted through messengers data on the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) to the Ukrainian security services.
"A criminal case under Article 275.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia (cooperation on a confidential basis with a foreign state, international or foreign organization) has been opened against the man, and a preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for him," TASS quoted the report of the FSB in the Sakhalin region as saying.
Earlier, on December 24, the FSB detained an employee of a regime enterprise for passing information about the Russian Armed Forces to Ukrainian intelligence. A criminal case under Article 275 ("High Treason") of the Russian Criminal Code was opened against the suspect by the Investigation Department of the Russian Federal Security Service. The Russian citizen was detained and taken into custody. He admitted his guilt in unlawful actions.
