Sochi airport introduced temporary restrictions on flights

Sochi airport from 5:00 Moscow time temporarily does not accept and does not send flights in order to ensure the safety of civil aircrafts. This was announced by the spokesman of the Federal Air Transport Agency (FAVT, Rosaviatsia) Artem Korenyako on December 27.

"To ensure the safety of civil aircraft (AC) flights on Friday, December 27, temporary restrictions are imposed on the operation of Sochi airport. The air harbor temporarily does not accept or dispatch flights," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

He also said that the crews of aircrafts, air traffic controllers and airport services are taking all necessary measures to ensure flight safety.

Earlier, on December 11, temporary restrictions were imposed on the operation of Sochi airport from 19:32 Moscow time. According to Rosaviatsia representative Artem Korenyako, this was done to ensure the safety of civil aircraft flights.
