The head of a government commission investigating the aftermath of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bombing of Barmal district of eastern Afghan province of Paktika, Afghan Minister of Border and Tribal Affairs Nurullah Noori confirmed on Thursday, December 26, that at least 50 people were killed and about 40 civilians were injured in the strikes.

"Based on what we have observed on the ground and through interviews with residents, so far we have information about 51 or 52 martyrs, about 40 injured and four to five houses destroyed," Tolo News quoted Noori as saying.

The day before, he, accompanied by responsible officials of the Ministry of Defense, visited the settlements affected by the December 24 bombings.

According to him, the dead and wounded were civilians.

Before that, August 14, it was reported that as a result of aerial firing on the occasion of Independence Day in the city of Karachi in southern Pakistan killed a child, 95 people were injured. According to the Dawn portal, dozens of wounded were admitted to the city's clinics. Among the injured were many women, children and elderly people. Some of them were in serious condition. Law enforcement agencies arrested 19 people involved in the shooting on the same day. Criminal cases were opened and small arms were confiscated.
