The commander of the Akhmat reconnaissance group told of sniper duels in the Kursk region

"The enemy led to the area where we are fighting, sniper team of the brigade GUR (Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. - Ed.) and began to very much spoil the blood of our allies, did not let literally lift their heads from the landings <...> We identified a lie-in, which was used by their shooter, determined the ways of his approach, set up an ambush and a day later eliminated - he was coming towards us, holding a rifle on his shoulders. We soon learned from the radio intercept that an additional unit had come to their aid," said Aid, commander of the reconnaissance unit of the Akhmat special forces.

According to him, the opponents were detected at dawn by thermal imaging cameras. We immediately raised a reconnaissance drone that hovered over their heads to divert their attention in the sky. One sniper hid behind a tree - I hit him at that moment. The other, not realizing what was happening, started hitting the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with singles and was also destroyed.
