- Patriot Center's DPC became the best volunteer firefighting team in the Russian Federation

The best volunteer firefighting team in the country became the volunteer fire department (VFB) of the Patriot Center of the Belovo District, Kursk Region. The winners were awarded by Minister of Emergency Situations Alexander Kurenkov. About it on December 26 reported "Izvestia".
"Our main task is to extinguish fires, rescue property, people, population. In addition to these tasks, we perform more voluntary tasks: evacuation of people, transportation of humanitarian aid, assistance to civilians, assistance to the military. We also work with EMERCOM engineers on mine clearance. We provide assistance, accompany," said the head of the Patriot Center's DPK Sergei Kobozev.
The winner was evaluated by the training and equipment of personnel, the number of trips to extinguish fires, as well as other areas of activity. Belovtsy showed the maximum number of points in the section "Evaluation of combat work in the reporting period".
In total there are 17 people in the team, each of them underwent special training on the basis of the local fire station, where they received all the necessary knowledge on the implementation of their activities and first aid. DPK works throughout the Belovsky district.
The volunteers have two fire trucks with all the necessary equipment, anti-drone guns, means of detection of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), helmets and body armor in their arsenal.
In addition, the head of the PDK noted that despite the fact that Belovsky district was liberated from the enemy, the situation in the region is tense. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) continue to send FPV drones, long-range missiles and other arsenal. The Patriot DPK has repeatedly come under attack by UAVs that purposefully flew at firefighters and wanted to prevent them from carrying out humanitarian aid.
"Every trip on alert is a risk to life: you have to look not only at the sky, where drones and shells fly, but also be extremely careful when treading on the ground, as the territory may be mined," noted Izvestia correspondent Sergei Prudnikov.
December 27 is Rescuer's Day in Russia, a professional holiday of EMERCOM employees. It was established in 1995 by presidential decree. The date was not chosen by chance - on December 27, 1990, the Russian Rescue Corps was formed, which laid the foundation for the modern Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.
Earlier, on December 26, soldiers of the separate subversive assault brigade "Veterans" told "Izvestia" about the situation on the line of contact in the border areas of Kursk region. The "Veterans" Brigade work harmoniously, professionally and, most importantly, quickly. They skillfully camouflage weapons and change positions so that the enemy had less chance to detect them.
Before that, on December 25, it became known that the AFU fighters for a day in the Kursk border area lost more than 230 servicemen. It is specified that the enemy lost more than 43,740 servicemen, 255 tanks, 194 BMPs, 136 armored personnel carriers, 1,318 armored combat vehicles, 42 MLRS launchers, 13 SAM launchers, 80 REB stations and 13 counter-battery radars during the fighting in the Kursk direction.
The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. Ukrainian militants who invaded Russian territory are being liquidated.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
