An accident involving two cars occurred in the Lefortovo tunnel in Moscow. According to the source of "Izvestia" on December 26, as a result of the accident there is a dead person - the driver, who was behind the wheel of a Lexus SUV.

In addition, a passenger of the vehicle was injured. In the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Moscow confirmed that one person died.

"On the outer side of the TTC (in the Lefortovo tunnel) there was an accident. The city's operational services are working on the site. Traffic is hampered for 1 km", - stated in the Telegram-channel of the capital's Department of transport.

In the Prosecutor's office of Moscow added that the tragedy occurred when a car Volvo crashed into the Lexus stopped on the roadway. The driver of the SUV, who went out on the road to set up an emergency stop sign, died on the spot from injuries received as a result of the collision.
