A somnologist has named one of the causes of weight gain

Poor sleep has a direct impact on excess weight gain. Pavel Kudinov, a somnologist and member of the Russian Society of Somnologists, told about it on Thursday, December 26.
"When we sleep soundly, we produce growth hormone, and it is responsible for the removal of fat from fat cells. Accordingly, the worse we sleep, the fatter we become, and the fatter we become, the more breathing stops in sleep (apnea) and the worse we sleep," the expert said in a conversation with Radio 1.
According to Kudinov, people with poor sleep can not lose weight, and continue to get fat without eating anything.
"And over time also diabetes starts," - said the expert. He advised to consult doctors immediately in case of any problems with sleep.
December 25, sleep consultant, founder of the Center for Children's Sleep and online school BabySleep, creator of the International Training Center for sleep consultants BabySleepConsult Elena Muradova told Life.Ru how not to sleep too long during the holidays.
The expert noted that a person will not need an alarm clock if he or she gets enough sleep, RT reports.
Earlier, on November 24, senior lecturer of the Department of Fundamental Medical Disciplines at the State University of Education, pathophysiologist Sergei Stepanov told Izvestia that obesity or hypertension can lead to sleep apnea - temporary cessation of breathing.
