Netanyahu voiced Israel's determination to fight the "hand of Iran" in Yemen

Israeli authorities are determined to "cut off the hand of the Iranian axis of evil" in Yemen, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Dec. 26.

"We are determined to cut off this terrorist arm of the Iranian axis of evil. We will continue until we complete what we have started," The Times of Israel quoted him as saying.

Netanyahu said that some time ago, the Israeli Air Force struck Houthi targets in Yemen on the coast and in Sanaa.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli Air Force reported a massive series of strikes on an airbase and airport in northern Sanaa. The port of Hodeidah in the west of the country was also attacked.

The day before, Yemeni Houthis attacked Tel Aviv and Ashkelon with drones. Afterward, Netanyahu promised them the fate of the radical Palestinian Hamas movement, the Lebanese Shiite Hezbollah movement and Syria.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical Hamas movement subjected Israel to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
