AvtoVAZ sent cars to Vietnam for certification

AvtoVAZ has sent nine Lada cars of different models and modifications to Vietnam for certification and obtaining permits for sales on the local market. Vyacheslav Kharinov, Russia's trade representative in Vietnam, told about it, TASS reported on December 26.
Granta and Vesta cars, as well as Niva Legend and Niva Travel will arrive in Vietnam in February. According to Kharitonov, AvtoVAZ is now closely studying the Vietnamese market and researching demand, is going to register a representative office in the country, looking for potential partners and conducting technical work.
As the trade representative noted, the demand study shows that Russian automobile products can be quite competitive in terms of quality, price and compliance with the difficult road conditions in which Vietnamese vehicles are operated.
On November 19, AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov said that Lada cars will soon go on sale in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and next year they may appear on the Iranian market.
