The most popular car colors among Russians are named

Cars of black, white and gray colors have topped the rating of the most popular cars among Russians in 2024. Analysts of Avilon AG told Izvestia on December 26.

Most often in the past year, Russians bought new cars of black color, which accounted for 16.3% of all sales. In the second place in popularity were white cars (14%), the third - gray (8.2%).

Cars in bright colors such as red, blue, green, purple, gold and silver remain less popular, with each of these colors accounting for less than 1% of sales. In the electric car segment, demand for bright hues begins to increase with the onset of winter, although sales of gray and white-colored cars continue to remain above the rest in annual terms, analysts said.

By body type, the SUV segment with a share of 64% is in the highest demand among Russians. In second place are hatchbacks (10%), in third place - sedans (9.3%). Less popular in Russia are minivans, pickup trucks, coupes and liftbacks (less than 1% each). Among car buyers, men predominate - their share is 65%.
