Four out of nine Russians, who were taken to Russia after the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane in Aktau, are on ventilator, two of them in serious condition. This was reported to journalists on December 26 by Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko.
"The condition during transportation remained stable, four were on artificial ventilation, two extremely heavy, with multiple injuries, one patient is light, and the rest are of medium severity," Murashko noted.
Earlier, nine Russians were urgently transported to medical facilities to help the injured.
A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, headed on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25, recalls "Gazeta.Ru". After the fall, the ship caught fire. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the plane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was initiated.
As a result of the crash, 38 people died. On board, according to the list of AZAL, there were 62 passengers and five crew members. According to the latest data, seven Russians died, nine survived and were hospitalized, later a special Russian Emergencies Ministry airplane took them to Moscow. AZAL suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed.
