The expert told about the organization of quality rest for a child

Vacation is a time when a child can get away from the school routine and do his or her favorite things. On December 27, Polina Neverova, Head of the Department of Teaching at MAXIMUM Education, told Izvestia about how children can have a quality vacation without forgetting school material.
According to her, parents often perceive vacations as an opportunity for the child to learn new material or "tighten the tails" of the school program, but in this case it is important not to forget about rest. She noted that during vacations schoolchildren can more effectively process the information received during the period of study.
For schoolchildren of different ages it is necessary to use different approaches to learning and recreation, the expert emphasized.
"Younger schoolchildren should not be loaded with tasks, educational games will suit them. In middle school it is also worth devoting most of the time to playful mastering of the material, and when working with high school students you can apply more serious methods," Neverova said.
According to her, it is important not to repeat what they have learned by rote. The expert suggested instead, for example, to go with the child to a museum dedicated to the topic covered in the lesson, as well as to watch movies and TV series in a foreign language. At the same time Neverova advised to return to the discipline, with the mastering of which the child has problems, just after such an effective rest. Several hours a day will be enough for a schoolchild to study, she added.
Another type of effective rest, the expert called reading - it promotes the formation of new neural connections, and therefore improves memory.
"It is better to choose a work that will be interesting to the schoolchild himself, then he will definitely spend time reading with pleasure," she concluded.
Earlier, on October 28, math teacher and founder of the online school "Tochka Znanii" Andrey Sheludko told Izvestia about how to help a child learn more effectively. According to him, many schoolchildren have difficulties in memorizing a large amount of material. It is enough to understand which way of perceiving information is closer to the child and use memorization tactics that suit him.
