Expert predicted bitcoin rate for the first half of 2025

In the first half of 2025, the bitcoin rate may reach the $115-135 thousand mark, Capital Lab partner Evgeny Shatov told Izvestia on January 2.
"Bitcoin smoothly enters the distribution zone and the altcoin season begins in the market, different scenarios are potentially possible, but most likely, the growth of bitcoin price in the first half of the year will slow down. It is quite possible that bitcoin within the unfinished impulse can reach the $115-135 thousand mark, after which consolidation near the achieved level is likely," he said.
According to the expert, the bitcoin dominance index has now reached a mark of 56.7%, having increased by only 6.6% since the beginning of the year.
"But, apparently, this phase has come to an end, and further there will be a fall in the index against the background of an increase in the number of altcoins and the growth of their total capitalization. For comparison, in 2017, this index hovered around the 90% level, and during 2021 it fell from 60% to 40%. Thus, the market is gradually entering the growth phase of altcoins", - concluded Shatov.
Earlier, on December 16, the cost of bitcoin crossed the $107 thousand mark, setting a new historical record. Then the portal CoinMarketCap added that the total amount of this cryptocurrency circulating in the markets was 19.79 million.
