A bill to ban the sale of vape devices has been sent to the State Duma

A bill on a complete ban on the sale of vape devices and liquids for them has been sent to the specialized committee of the State Duma. This was reported on December 26 in the press service of the State Duma. The document is published on the site of the system of support of legislative activity (SOSD).
"The Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin sent to the profile Committee on health protection introduced a bill on a complete ban on the sale of vapes and liquids for them," - noted in the message.
It is noted that the reason for the creation of the bill was a sharp increase in the number of users of electronic smoking devices, including among teenagers.
On the same day, deputies from the CPRF introduced a bill in the State Duma on a complete ban on the sale of vapes and liquids for them. It is noted that there will be a ban on the wholesale and retail sale of vapes, as well as liquids containing nicotine, which are used for them.
Earlier, on December 10, the State Duma at the plenary session adopted in the first reading a bill proposing to introduce criminal punishment for the repeated sale to children of vapes, other products with nicotine and devices for its consumption.
In April, the Russian government announced its readiness to support such a bill, because practice shows that current measures to regulate the sale of vape devices are ineffective. At the same time, the country is implementing a policy to combat tobacco use, and the initiative would be in line with this vector.
