The Israeli Air Force (IAF) has launched a series of massive strikes in Yemen. This was reported by The Time of Israel on Thursday, December 26.

It is specified that the airbase and airport in the north of Sanaa were struck.

The attack was also made on the port of Hodeidah in the west of the country.

Earlier, on December 21, it was reported that Yemen launched a strike on Tel Aviv, which injured 30 people. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched an investigation into the reasons for the failure to intercept a rocket launched from Yemen.

Prior to that, on December 19, Yahya Sari, a military spokesman for Yemen's Ansar Allah (Houthis) movement, said that the missile forces had launched a drone attack on a target located in Tel Aviv. He emphasized that the Houthis will stop their attacks the moment Israel's aggression in the Gaza Strip stops.

At the same time, the Israel Defense Forces reported intercepting a rocket fired from Yemen toward Israeli territory. Later in the day, the IDF attacked the facilities of the Houthi regime in Yemen. It was specified that the attacked targets are used by the Houthis for their military operations and transfer of Iranian weapons.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on the morning of October 7, 2023, when the Palestinian radical movement Hamas subjected Israeli territory to a massive rocket attack from the Gaza Strip. On the same day, Israel began retaliatory strikes.
