December 26, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said that during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin he talked about personal and state affairs.

"When an older brother and a younger one meet, you know, the subject is too broad," Belarusian TV channel "First Informational" in its Telegram channel quoted him as saying.

In addition, the President of Belarus notes that the conversation discussed not only bilateral relations, but also world problems.

Lukashenko also said that Putin had sent greetings from the leaders of the Middle East, adds "Gazeta.Ru."

On the same day it was reported that Putin and Lukashenko talked one-on-one for about 1.5 hours. The informal meeting of the CIS leaders is taking place at the Igora resort complex in the Leningrad region. The summit of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will also be held there.

December 25, Lukashenko arrived in St. Petersburg to participate in the informal summit of CIS leaders and the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The same day, the Russian president arrived there.

Earlier, October 1, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin stressed that the Union State is the locomotive of integration within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), because Moscow and Minsk are working on EAEU proposals to strengthen the free promotion of goods, services and labor in a joint format.

The EAEU is an international organization of regional economic integration with international legal personality. It includes Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. One of the main advantages of the organization is a common labor market.
