Two Ukrainian missiles shot down over Kursk region


Two missiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been shot down over the territory of Kursk region. This was reported on Thursday, December 26, in the press service of the government of the region.
"Two Ukrainian missiles were shot down in the sky of the Kursk region. We thank the air defense fighters! The debris of the downed missiles damaged buildings in the village of Razvetie in the Zheleznogorsky district," - stated in the message in the Telegram-channel.
It is specified that as a result of the incident there are no dead and injured among the civilian population.
The day before it was reported that the Russian air defense forces overnight hit 59 Ukrainian drones over the regions of Russia. It was specified that 26 drones were shot down over the territory of Belgorod region, 23 - over the territory of Voronezh region, three drones each - over the territories of Kursk, Bryansk and Tambov regions, and one - over the waters of the Sea of Azov.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
