Reshetnikov called trade in the EAEU sustainable and protected from external risks

Trade within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is balanced, stable and generally protected from external risks, the head of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov told Izvestia on December 26 on the margins of the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in the Leningrad region.
"Trade is balanced. We have trade within the EAEU in this respect is stable and, in general, protected, we can say, from external risks," he said.
According to the minister, the trend is due to the large trade turnover, as well as the single market of goods, services and labor.
Reshetnikov noted that cooperation in the EAEU concerns not only markets, but also technology, education and science, as the humanitarian aspect forms a powerful foundation for cooperation.
The head of the Ministry of Economic Development added that Russia has something to offer in the field of technology and needs partners for their development. Based on these factors, interest in the EAEU is growing and will continue to grow, Reshetnikov concluded.
Earlier in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council that the EAEU has established itself as one of the self-sufficient and independent centers of the world. At the same time, the Union's activity helps to expand trade and is beneficial for the member countries of the association, the Russian leader pointed out.
The EAEU is an international organization of regional economic integration with international legal personality. It includes Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. One of the main advantages of the organization is a common labor market.
