Regions - leaders in terms of growth of budget revenues are named

Positive growth rates of consolidated budget revenues have been recorded in 63 constituent entities of the Russian Federation following the results of the first nine months of 2024. This is stated in the results of a study by the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy. E.T. Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy (Gaidar Institute), which were presented to "Izvestia" on December 26.

The leader was Magadan Oblast (+30.9%): the main growth was provided by the corporate profit tax, mineral extraction taxes and subsidies. In second place is the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (+29.6%): the main increase in revenues was provided by the corporate profit tax, revenues from the allocation of budget funds, as well as revenues in the form of a share of profitable products of the state in the implementation of the production sharing agreement on the project "Kharyaginskoye field". The third position is occupied by the Udmurt Republic (+26.1%): tax on profit of organizations, the fee collected in connection with the application of the simplified taxation system, as well as subsidies.

At the end of nine months, the total revenues of the consolidated budgets of the subjects amounted to Br16.9 trillion, having increased by 6.9% compared to the same period of 2023.

The study also says that the number of regions with a debt burden above 50% decreased from 25 to 20 in 12 months. In general, the debt sustainability of the subjects remains at a high level, which was facilitated by both the reduction in the nominal volume of state debt and the growth of tax and non-tax revenues, experts said.

Earlier, December 5, it was reported that Br10.4 trillion from mineral extraction tax was received by the federal budget in January - October 2024. This is 38.5% more than in the same period last year, follows from the data of the analytical portal of the Federal Tax Service.

Prior to that, on November 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting with the head of the Federal Tax Service Daniil Egorov noted that tax revenues to the budget system of Russia for 10 months of this year amounted to almost Br46 trillion. The indicator is about 20% more than for the same period of 2023.
