A girl who was injured in the crash of a passenger plane near Kazakhstan's Aktau has been diagnosed with a concussion and bruises. This was reported on Thursday, December 26, by the head of the department of traumatology and orthopedics of the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital of the Russian Ministry of Health.
"The girl is 11 years old. Suffered in a plane crash near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Was examined and today was transported to Moscow to the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital. The diagnosis of the patient - concussion of the brain, also numerous bruises, abrasions of the body, possibly damage to the bones of the pelvis," he said.
According to the medic, the child had a good flight and transportation. The girl flew on the same plane with her mother, who is hospitalized in a Moscow medical institution. The child's condition is being monitored, today the girl will undergo additional examination.
Earlier in the day, a special airplane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered nine injured Russians, including the child, to Moscow. By now they have all been taken to Moscow and federal institutions.
A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, heading on the Baku-Grozny route, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash, the plane caught fire. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was initiated.
On board, according to the list of AZAL, there were 62 passengers and five crew members. According to the latest data, seven Russians were killed, nine survived and hospitalized. Kazakhstan's Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev came to the victims of the plane crash. AZAL suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed.
