"People's Front" presented gifts to the boy who asked Putin for the flag of the Russian Federation

Representatives of the "People's Front" visited ten-year-old Kolya Sumkin from the village of Kuznetsovo in Krasnoyarsk Krai, who appealed to the direct line of Russian President Vladimir Putin and asked for a tricolor of the Russian Federation and a sweet gift for him and his brother. This was reported on December 26 by the branch of the "People's Front" in the Krasnodar region.

Members of the organization gave the child the gifts that he asked the head of state. In addition, they handed him chevrons "All for Victory", which the two brothers will be able to wear on their clothes.

"I asked for a flag because I love my Motherland very much and I like our country very much. <...> I will hang the flag in my room," Kolya said.

In his address to the direct line, the boy admired Putin's personal qualities and shared that he wants to become the same when he grows up. The "People's Front" noted that the boy demonstrates a strong character, tries to study well, helps his parents and grandmother Valentina.

The latter, in turn, said that Kolya is a patriotic child who is interested in the news in the world and is worried about the Russian military, who are involved in a special operation to protect Donbass. The boy's grandmother pointed out that he did not consult with anyone before addressing the direct line, and only informed her about the letter he had already sent.

Earlier in the day, Putin talked to seventh-grader Taisia Leonova from Moscow Region, whose dream he fulfilled as part of the "Christmas Tree of Wishes" campaign. The girl told the head of state that she loved folk dancing and practiced it in two groups. Taisia made a wish to attend a rehearsal of the Boris Moiseyev Folk Dance Ensemble, and this dream came true. In addition, the girl was able to dance together with the artists. A whole program of New Year's events has been organized for the family - they will visit the skating rink, a concert and museums in the Kremlin.

The head of state took part in the action "Christmas tree of wishes" on December 5. In addition to Taisia's wish, Putin took off the Christmas tree a card with a wish of 10-year-old Margarita Rutsinskaya from Belgorod region. The girl dreamed of being in the pilot's seat on an airplane simulator.

This wish came true, and Margarita and her parents visited Moscow, where she had a training flight on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 flight simulator, and then the President talked to her on the phone and found out her impressions.

The "Wishing Tree" charity event is a project of Russia's "Movement of the Firsts" with the support of Rosmolodezh, which has been taking place since 2018 and lasts from mid-November to the end of February. Thanks to the campaign, children aged 3-17 who find themselves in a difficult life situation get an opportunity to fulfill a cherished wish or receive a gift for the New Year.
