Deputies from the CPRF have submitted to the State Duma a bill on a complete ban on the sale of vapes and liquids for them. This became known on December 26. The corresponding document is published in the Duma electronic base.

"Establishing a complete ban on the sale of such products in the current circumstances is seen as a necessary measure to improve public health. Such practice exists in many developed countries of the world," - noted in the explanatory note of the bill.

It is noted that there will be a ban on the wholesale and retail sale of vapes, as well as liquids containing nicotine, which are used for them.

Earlier, on December 10, the State Duma at the plenary session adopted in the first reading of the bill proposing to introduce criminal punishment for the repeated sale to children of vapes, other products with nicotine and devices for its consumption.

Earlier, in April, the Russian government announced its readiness to support such a bill, because practice shows that the current measures to regulate the sale of vape products are ineffective. At the same time, the country is implementing a policy to combat tobacco use, and the initiative would be in line with this vector.
