- Vessel traffic through the Bosporus blocked due to malfunctions on a tanker bound for Russia

The Bosporus Strait has been blocked due to a malfunction on a tanker bound for Russia. This was reported by Haber Turk newspaper on Thursday, December 26, citing a statement of the Turkish Ministry of Transport.
"Vessel traffic on the Bosporus was temporarily suspended in both directions due to a malfunction of the tanker Cordelia Moon, which malfunctioned <...> while traveling from [the port of] Yalova to Russia," the ministry said in a statement.
According to the MarineTraffic portal, the 274-meter-long vessel was traveling under the flag of Panama to Novorossiysk.
Earlier, on November 17, the oil tanker Nazan, which had a rudder failure, became the reason for stopping the movement of ships in the Bosphorus. It was traveling from Russia to Kocaeli.
