High-alert mode will be introduced in the Irkutsk region for the New Year vacations

The high alert mode will be in effect in the Irkutsk Region from December 28 to January 9. The corresponding decree was signed by the Governor of the region Igor Kobzev.

The Ministry of Housing Policy and Energy is instructed to ensure the serviceable condition of backup power supply sources and organize timely work of forces and means to eliminate emergencies. The Ministry of Transport and Roads should ensure preparedness for the deterioration of the traffic situation.

In addition, a special fire regime will be in effect during the holidays. Local residents will be prohibited to use pyrotechnics outside special sites.
