Azerbaijani Health Ministry publishes list of citizens killed in plane crash


Azerbaijan's Health Ministry on December 26 published a list of 25 citizens of the country who died in a plane crash in Aktau.
"Work is continuing to establish the identities of some of the dead," the ministry said in a statement published on its website.
According to 1News, the list includes 25 dead citizens of Azerbaijan.
The day before, December 25, Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) published a list of 62 passengers of the crashed plane, including 16 Russians. In addition, the list included five crew members.
A passenger plane of AZAL Airlines, heading on the route Baku - Grozny, crashed near the Kazakh city of Aktau on December 25. After the crash, the plane caught fire. Preliminary, the cause of the fall of the airplane could be a collision with a flock of birds. After the crash, a criminal case was initiated.
As a result of the airplane crash, 38 people were killed. According to the latest data, including seven Russians, nine citizens of the Russian Federation survived and were hospitalized, later a special airplane of the Russian Emergencies Ministry delivered them to Moscow. AZAL suspended flights from Baku to Grozny and Makhachkala until the investigation is completed.
