Russian President Vladimir Putin has called seventh-grader Taisia Leonova from Moscow Region, whose dream he fulfilled as part of the "Christmas Tree of Wishes" campaign. This was reported by the Kremlin press service on December 26.

"The President within the framework of the charitable campaign "Christmas Tree of Wishes" fulfilled the girl's dream - she together with her mother, grandmother and brother visited the rehearsal of the Igor Moiseyev folk dance ensemble. Several more festive events are planned for the Leonov family in Moscow," reads the message published in the Telegram-channel.

The girl told the President that she is fond of folk dancing and is engaged in two collectives. Taisia's family shared that she rehearsed with the Igor Moiseyev Dance Ensemble, which was her dream. According to them, they were very pleased with the program prepared for them in Moscow, they have yet to visit the skating rink, a concert and the Kremlin museums.

The head of state took part in the "Christmas Tree of Wishes" campaign on December 5. Then he took off the New Year's tree a card with a wish for 12-year-old Taisiya, who wrote that she dreamed of attending a rehearsal of the Moiseyev Folk Dance Ensemble. Putin promised to arrange for the girl to dance herself. In addition, the Russian president said he would fulfill the wish of 10-year-old Margarita Rutsinskaya from Shebekino, Belgorod region, who dreams of being a pilot on an airplane simulator.

Margarita's New Year's wish was fulfilled - the schoolgirl and her parents came to Moscow, where she made a training flight on the Sukhoi Superjet 100 flight simulator, after which the President called the girl to find out about her impressions.

The "Wishing Tree" charity event is a project of Russia's "Movement of the First" with the support of Rosmolodezh, which has been taking place since 2018 and lasts from mid-November to the end of February. Thanks to the campaign, children aged 3-17 who find themselves in a difficult life situation get an opportunity to fulfill a cherished wish or receive a gift for the New Year.
