Court in DNR sentences in absentia a US mercenary to 13 years in prison


A court in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR) has sentenced in absentia a 31-year-old mercenary from the United States, Alexander Grant Tobiassen, who took part in a special operation on the side of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), to 13 years in a strict regime colony. About it on Thursday, December 26, reports the regional Prosecutor's office.
The man was found guilty under part 3 of article 359 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Participation of a mercenary in an armed conflict").
It is established that Tobiassen in 2017 became a mercenary and participated in hostilities against the People's militia of the DNR and LNR, and since the beginning of the NWO - against the Armed Forces (AF) of the Russian Federation on the territory of Russia and Ukraine.
The American worked for remuneration, which for all this time amounted to more than 12.8 million rubles.
"Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced Tobiassen in absentia to 13 years of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a penal colony of strict regime", - stated on the website of the agency.
Earlier, December 20, it was reported that the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against a Danish citizen Annabel Jorgensen. According to the investigators, she is directly involved in hostilities on the side of armed formations of Ukraine. It was specified that the woman illegally crossed the Russian border and entered the territory of the Kursk region.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by the Russian Federation on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the backdrop of the worsening situation in the region.
