Some motorists and mechanics are sure that the car can "get used" to the oil of a certain manufacturer. They are mistaken, such judgments arise due to incorrectly selected fluids. This was stated by the owner and head of Fit Service car service Vitaly Derevkov, reports "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" on December 26.
According to the specialist, such "bikes" may appear after one driver advises another oil, which has proven itself in his car. The one, believing his buddy, pours the recommended fluid into a completely different car and gets unpleasant consequences, and the resource of the unit will be reduced many times.
"The results and consequences of such experiments are often blamed on the mythical "habituation" to a certain technical fluid. At the same time, the reason is quite different - neglecting the requirements of the manufacturer," explained the expert.
However, there are cases when the tolerance is selected correctly, but depending on the manufacturer of internal combustion engine oil, the engine works differently. For example, after oil change there are complaints about noisier operation, increased consumption and other problems. The reason for such problems is the large number of fakes on the market, Derevkov pointed out.
