The Russian government has provided the Kursk region with over 60 billion rubles in 2024

The Russian government has allocated 60 billion rubles to support Kursk region in 2024. This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov on December 26.

"I can say that this year more than 60 billion rubles in total from the federal budget, from the reserve fund have been provided to support [Kursk region] in various directions," Manturov told Rossiya 24 TV channel.

He emphasized that the government maintains "the closest contacts" with the region's leadership and receives requests from it for amendments to regulations and the transfer of financial aid. First Deputy Prime Minister said that the money allocated to the Kursk region, among other things, went to the issuance of certificates for compensation for the loss of housing and property. Work in this area is actively online, all approaches will continue in the future.

Earlier, on November 29, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin said that payments of compensation for housing rent to the affected residents of Kursk region had begun, more than 1 billion rubles were allocated for this purpose. In addition, these people are provided with one-time financial assistance, transfer payments for the loss of property and issue certificates for the purchase of new housing.

On the same day, then Governor of Kursk region Alexei Smirnov said that the government had allocated more than 620 million rubles for medicines for the region's beneficiaries. In addition to drugs, this category of citizens will receive free medical devices and therapeutic food.

Before that, November 15, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the government would allocate Br4 billion to support the residents of Kursk region, who had lost their property.

The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
