Families of those killed after the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) shelled the town of Lgov in Kursk region will receive 1.5 million rubles each. This was announced on Thursday, December 26, by Alexander Khinshtein, acting head of the region.

"After the shelling of Lgov, as well as in the situation with the tragedy in Rylsk, the government of Kursk region decided to pay the families of the dead 1.5 million rubles, and the wounded and injured from 300 thousand to 600 thousand rubles, depending on the severity of injuries," he wrote in his Telegram-channel.

It is specified that seven units of equipment and 14 workers of the city road maintenance company are now working at the scene.

The day before the AFU struck civilian facilities and infrastructure in the town of Lgov in the Kursk region. The AFU attacked Russian positions in the border areas of Kursk Region on August 6. The situation in the region was recognized as a federal emergency. The liquidation of Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
